At some point in time Dad would send us over to spend the night with aunt Nancy. After awhile, even tho we were small, we began to notice that when we came home the stork had came. There was another baby. We always missed it. Murrel, being the oldest and smartest was the first to notice. Loran made an appearance, then Chuck and then Cora Mac. Aunt Nancy was a central figure for all of the events. Murrel and Wayne was born at Marmaduke. Mother and Dad moved back to the home place in Jan. 1930. I was born in March.
Another indication that an event was about to happen was Raymond saddled a horse and took off for Dr. Harndon. Raymond lived with us until he married. The doctor lived about 3 miles south of Oconee. You may remember his office in an old cement block building. It's gone now. As far as I know he never made it in time....unkle
